About Marine Industry Day

Marine Industry Day is a family-oriented event aimed at celebrating the region’s marine industry through a variety of fun, interactive experiences. It features live music, food trucks, children’s activities, numerous marine-related activities, water taxi tours, educational games and much more.

Marine Industry Day is open to anyone who is in the marine industry or anyone who would like to learn more about it. There is no cost to attend.

The event is organized and sponsored by the Marine Industries Association of South Florida with the support of International Yacht Brokers Association, the U.S. Superyacht Association, Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale, and Young Professionals in Yachting.

Marine Industry Day also builds awareness of our industry on local, state, and federal levels. The Marine Industry Day celebration is a gathering of Broward County’s diverse marine industry workforce and families who comprise the foundation of Broward’s number one economic driver.

More than 2,500 people attended Marine Industry Day in 2016, which featured more than 30 interactive and educational exhibits. Businesses that participated included Nova Southeastern University, Frank & Jimmie’s Propeller, AccuDock,  Regent Bank, Land N’ Sea, Maritime Professional Training, Beard Marine, Bradford Marine, Carefree Boat Club, Dockside Corporate Services, MHG Insurance, IGY Marinas, RPM Diesel, and FAU Athletics just to name a few.

The Marine Industries Association of South Florida is the largest trade organization in the Southeast United States dedicated to promoting, protecting, and growing the 111,000 middle class jobs in Broward County and 142,000 jobs regionally in marine businesses promoting boating lifestyles from family cruising and fishing to yachts and the goods and services that sustain them.
